Research shows that 39% of the total energy consumption in the country is used for building purposes, with 60% of the energy used for space heating and cooling. If this rate continues to develop, energy consumption for building cooling will increase tenfold by 2050. Therefore, reducing energy consumption for indoor temperature regulation is of great significance for alleviating environmental problems. In order to reduce the huge energy consumption and the environmental problems caused by global warming, there is an urgent need for a green and energy-saving refrigeration technology. Electric refrigeration is a new type of technology that achieves zero energy consumption and zero pollution, relying solely on its unique structure and properties to achieve refrigeration. Non electric radiation refrigeration technology, due to its ability to achieve cooling without any energy input, greatly reduces dependence on fossil fuels and does not produce pollutants during the cooling process, which is in line with the development concept of green, energy-saving and low-carbon.
Wuxi Henglong Plaza is located in the busiest commercial district in the center of Wuxi. The project includes a 250 meter high office building and a super large shopping center in the city. Gathering over 200 high-quality retail stores, including international brands such as BVLGARI, CELINE, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Piaget, Cartier, and Gucci, it can be regarded as a hub for high-end fashion brands. The basic goal of the project is to achieve LEED Gold certification and contribute to building preservation.
As a new energy-saving measure, electric refrigeration technology can reflect the vast majority of sunlight and radiate heat to outer space in a mid infrared manner, thereby reducing the surface temperature of buildings, reducing the burden on air conditioning systems, achieving energy conservation and emission reduction while ensuring stable operation of equipment. The cooling effect can be achieved without the need for additional energy, which meets the current development needs of green buildings. A study was conducted on the application of electric refrigeration technology on the roof of Wuxi Henglong Shopping Mall. The kitchen of the store has an internal heat source, and regular operation requires the air conditioning to be turned on to maintain the indoor temperature at around 25 ℃. Given that Wuxi is located in the subtropical monsoon climate zone in the north, with frequent high temperatures and long sunshine hours, coupled with the continuous heat load inside the kitchen, the energy consumption of air conditioning is enormous. Especially in the afternoon, the problem of sun exposure is particularly severe. Therefore, in order to reduce the heat load brought by the top sun, this project uses a non electric cooling coating to surface treat the roof of a shop on a terrace, aiming to effectively reduce the external surface temperature of the shop, reduce the use of air conditioning, and save energy. The application results clearly demonstrate the application effect of the non electric cooling coating in a certain shop, successfully achieving effective temperature control and reducing the thermal load caused by sunlight. On the basis of no additional energy consumption, it improves the quality of life, significantly saves electricity costs, and has considerable economic benefits. This strongly proves the enormous potential of electric refrigeration technology in the field of energy conservation and cooling.
