With the rapid development of the global economy and the continuous growth of population, environmental issues have become one of the important factors restricting sustainable social development. The hotel industry, as one of the high energy consuming and high emission industries, has particularly prominent environmental issues in its interior design. Traditional hotel interior design often pursues luxury and extravagance, neglecting the impact on the environment, resulting in serious energy waste and huge resource consumption. Therefore, introducing the concept of green ecology into hotel interior design has become an inevitable choice for industry transformation and upgrading. Material innovation: With the continuous development of technology, new environmentally friendly materials continue to emerge, providing more choices for hotel interior design. For example, new materials such as permeable bricks, self-cleaning glass, and non electric refrigeration films not only have excellent environmental performance, but also can improve the efficiency and comfort of building use. In design, we should actively explore the potential and possibilities of using new materials and integrate them into indoor spaces through innovative design methods to achieve a perfect combination of green ecology and aesthetic practicality.
Chuangleng Technology adopts high-performance PET optical micro attachment film, achieving a mid infrared radiation rate of up to 94%. Through layer by layer reflection and refraction of light and heat, it effectively isolates thermal gain and reduces indoor temperature, while maintaining high visible light transmittance and ultraviolet blocking rate, balancing high transmittance and high thermal insulation. Significantly reduce the demand for air conditioning cooling, save energy, achieve energy conservation and emission reduction, and improve indoor comfort.
The Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East is an international five-star hotel located above MTR Tseung Kwan O Station and PopCorn Shopping Mall, serving as a convenient starting point for exploring the city of Hong Kong. As a hotel under Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East actively supports ESG commitments, strives for energy efficiency, guest comfort, and other aspects to promote sustainable development. The hotel has collaborated closely with the Creative Cold Technology team and decided to install an innovative i-Film concept on the glass curtain wall of the Star Screen Restaurant on the 47th floor of the hotel's top floor. This will effectively block solar heat while preserving natural light, creating a more comfortable environment for the restaurant.
This project improves energy efficiency and is expected to reduce air conditioning power consumption by 16416.72 kWh annually, significantly reducing carbon emissions. The most important thing is to receive full support from Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), which reflects the group's commitment and vision to promoting sustainable development. We have comprehensively practiced the hotel's responsibility for environmental protection and social responsibility.
