在建太阳能和风能项目74%位于中国

According to a new report, nearly three-quarters of the solar and wind energy projects under construction worldwide are located in China, highlighting the country's rapid expansion in the renewable energy sector. According to data provided by Global Energy Monitor, a non-governmental organization based in San Francisco, the total installed capacity of utility level solar and wind energy projects under construction in China has reached 510 gigawatts.
According to Global Energy Monitor, the total installed capacity of ongoing projects worldwide is approximately 689 gigawatts. A rough estimate is that 1 gigawatt of electricity can supply power to approximately 1 million households. China is leading the pace of global renewable energy construction, "said the Global Energy Monitor report." China continues to add solar and wind energy installed capacity at a record pace
Given China's dominant position in the global manufacturing industry, its expansion in clean energy is crucial for addressing climate change. China's greenhouse gas emissions account for about one-third of the global total, but there are still some details to be determined regarding the new climate change targets. China has stated that it will announce specific targets before this year's United Nations Climate Change Conference in Belen, Brazil. China is still developing new coal-fired power plants. According to previous research by Global Energy Monitor, the number of newly constructed coal-fired power plants in China last year was the highest in a decade. But China is also vigorously developing renewable energy, partly to enhance energy security and reduce dependence on fossil fuel imports.
According to the Global Energy Monitoring Report, China is expected to add at least 246.5 gigawatts of solar energy and 97.7 gigawatts of wind energy installed capacity this year. As of the end of March this year, the installed capacity of solar and wind energy that has been built and put into operation in China has reached 1.5 terawatts. According to data from the National Energy Administration of China, in the first quarter of 2025, solar and wind energy will account for 22.5% of China's total electricity consumption. After analyzing government statistics, the Helsinki based Energy and Clean Air Research Center concluded that a quarter of China's economic growth last year came from clean energy.

The development of electric vehicles and electric trains in China also means that more and more energy is provided through electricity. Some energy industry insiders say that China is becoming the world's first 'electricity country'. Among the renewable energy installed capacity under construction, offshore wind power accounts for approximately 28 gigawatts. Global energy monitoring points out that this will help coastal industrial centers and mega cities achieve decarbonization. The report also stated, "Although offshore wind power accounts for a negligible proportion of China's total installed wind power capacity, it is gradually gaining attention as coastal provinces pursue ambitious decarbonization goals
